  1. Mon. Daniel 5:1-30 The Writing on the Wall

In this verse king Belshazzar gave a banquet for all his nobles and such, and he drank wine with them all. He even got his father, King Nebuchadnezzar, to bring out gold and silver drinks for them to drink from. As they drank the night away, they all began breaking God's commandments by praising false gods. Suddenly a hand appeared on the wall and began to write, the king was struck by fear. He was willing to make anyone who could read the writing the third highest ruler of the kingdom. Suddenly a woman told them that Daniel could read it and translate. Daniel told the king he could keep the gifts and such, but he would still translate. The writing said his father had humbled himself, but he had not. That his days as king was numbered, and that very night he died. His reason would be that He loved us. He even sent His one and only Son to die for us. In the end, we will be judged though.

  2. Tues. Daniel 6:1-28 Daniel and the Lions

The king was going to put Daniel has head of the kingdom, but all the others were getting jelous, and wanted out withh Daniel. Their jelousy took over them, and told the king they all agreed that whoever praied to god/person besides the king for the next thirty days was to go in the lion's den. They new Daniel praied to God everyday. And the king put such words in writing. Even after hearing such law, Daniel went home and praied, and of course got caught. The king sadenly put Daniel in the lion's den, telling him that he hoped his Lord would be with him. The king could not sleep at all that night, and woke up to see Daniel had been protected by God. He told all they should pray to the one and true God. II pray every morning and night. If there is ever a situation in the day where I need God I try my best to pray. I find it great that Daniel still stude by God after that law was made.

  3. Wed. Jonah 1:1-2:10 Bending God’s Directions

God told Jonah to go to Nineveh and pray against its wickedness. Instead he fleed on a ship to get away from the Lord. A storm came and Jonah told the crew the only way to stop the storm was to throw him in the sea. For he was the one who caused it by running away from God. They tried their best to row back to shore, but couldn't. So they were left with nothing but to throw Jonah over board. He was in the belly of a fish for three days and three nights. Inside the fish Jonah repented came to the Lord, and was given a second chance when the fish vomitted him out. The last thing I avoided that I knew God wanted me to do was telling my friend about God. After nights of bad dreams of her in hell, I finally told her. It would have just been easier if I had listened to Him the first time....

  4. Thurs. Jonah 3:1-4:11 Wrong Motives

The same message from God came to Jonah again, once more telling him to go to Nineveh. He obeyed the Lord this time, and got Ninevites to believe in God. He proclaimed Nineveh would be over thrown in fourty days, and word got out to the king that he had said so. The king decided they must all turn to God, and God may have compassion to save their sorry buts. When God saw they had changed, He did not harm them. Jonah was angered by this and told the Lord he would rather die than live. I complain to God to get my dad saved. I pray and pray for Him. I will not stop praying and complaining about this till he gets saved.

  5. Fri. Luke 1:1-4 and John 1:1-18 Beginnings

These two verses talk about how in the begining God was with us/still is. He sent John not to be the light to God, but to witness such light. John went and told others their was a light coming. Testifying that Jesus Christ was coming. I receved Jesus In fourth grade. I trully didn't understand it all till last year. I got resaved and baptized. I trully understand what it all means now.
