Quarter 2: Week 7: Friday: 1 Samuel 8:1-5:

                 Quarter 2: Week 7: Friday: 1 Samuel 8:1-5:
As Samuel got old he appointed his sons as the leaders of Israel. His first son being Joel, and his second being Abijah. His sons didn't follow his ways, because they were dishonest and took bribes. The elderly came together to tell Samuel he is getting old. They also tell him his sons do not follow his ways, so he must pick a new leader. I don't like being greedy and unfair. Most of the time I find myself being greedy, thinking of myself before others. That must stop, because that was not how Jesus acted. He put others before himself. One way to stop the greed from coming is by to stop looking at other's belongings and lusting them.

Quarter 2: Week 7: Thursday: 1 Samuel 3:1-21:

              Quarter 2: Week 7: Thursday: 1 Samuel 3:1-21:
Samuel preached before the Lord, and back then visions of the Lord were rare. When Samuel was sitting by his faher the Lord called him, he replies, but his father told him he did not call him. The Lord calls to him once more, and once more his father said he did not call him. At this point Samuel was clueless that it was God. It happend again, and Eli knew it was God and told him if he calls again he is to answer him. He spoke to the Lord, and everyone soon noticed he had the Lord in him. When I read God's word I expect him to give me something to help me get throught the day. Every morning I randomly open to a page and see what God has to say

Quarter 2: Week 7: Wednesday: 1 Samuel 1:1-28 :

             Quarter 2: Week 7: Wednesday: 1 Samuel 1:1-28 :
Elkanah had two wives named Peninnah and Hannah. Peninnah had children, but Hannah had none. He goes and sacrifices to the Lord, but he gives whatever is left over to his two wives. He always gives Hannah more because he loved her. One day Hannah prays and asks that if God gives her an baby that she would give it to the Lord and no razor will ever touch it's head. Eli only thinks she is drunk and told her to put her wine away. She then told him she hadn't had a lick of alcohol. A few weeks later she was pregnant and nine months later she had a son named Samuel. She nursed him and rose him to the Lord. Lately a promise I have keep to God was praying. Not only do I pray before a test, but every night and morning!

Quarter 2: Week 7: Tuesday: Ruth 4:1-22:

                 Quarter 2: Week 7: Tuesday: Ruth 4:1-22:
Boaz gather the elderly and tells them that Naomi is back and selling relatives land. One man offers to buy it, but Boaz also says with the land comes Ruth. The man said no, and that he, Boaz, should buy it. The earlier way to make transitions final, back then, was to take your sandal off, and give it to the other person. The said for him to buy it himself and he took his sandals off. Boaz tells the elders they are all witnesses to him buying the land from Naomi, and to have the responsibility of Ruth. Then all the elderly and people at the gate agreed to be witness. So Boaz and Ruth married, and the Lord blessed them with a bundle of joy, aka a baby. He was a son, and they named him Obed. Obed was the father of Jesse, who was the father of David. A future reason for obeying God is so He can clear your future. If you don't go along with what God says, He won't be able to do much with your life. If I obey God, read my Bible, praise Him, and give my future to Him, then He can do something with my life.

Quarter 2: Week 7: Monday: Ruth 3:1-18 :

                   Quarter 2: Week 7: Monday: Ruth 3:1-18 :
Ruth's mother-in-law, Naomi, told her she must find a home where she will be well provided for. She told her that Boaz was a relative and she was to get dressed up real nice with perfumes and such.  She went on to say to go to the threshold when he was eating, and when he was done and sat down to go by his legs and he would tell her what to do. She did as she said, and when she went Boaz asked who she was and she told him. He tells her the Lord has blessed him, that he know her good characters, and offered her a place to stay. He gave her something to take back to Naomi, because he did not want her to go back empty handed. She went back, Naomi asked her how it went, and she told her everything about Boaz. Surprising methods God has used in my life was sending me to Bethany. I didn't want to go at first, because i had gone to my school for seven years, but now I am glad I did, because I've learned so much.

Quarter 2: Week 6: Friday: Ruth 2:1-23:

                                 Quarter 2: Week 6: Friday: Ruth 2:1-23:
Naomi has a relative on her husband's side named Boaz. Ruth asks Naomi if she can go take left over grain from anyone she finds in her favor. So she went out to a field and it turned out to be Boaz's field. He came out and said, the Lord be with you, and they answered by saying, "The Lord bless you!" He tells them to follow the women and when they get thirsty ask the men for drink, because he told the men not to lay a hand on her. She asks why he finds her in favor, and he tells her he heard what she did for her mother-in-law after her child died. When it was meal time Boaz blessed her with a meal. When Ruth came back to Naomi, Naomi asked where she went. Naomi told her it would be best if she stayed with the woman of Boaz, and glen with them, so she did. When Boaz heard of the kind things Ruth had done he blessed her. When my aunt Winter saw I was responsible she started letting me watch her kids while she watched a movie, and letting me change little Autumn and stuff.

Quarter 2: Week 6: Thursday: Ruth 1:1-22:

                 Quarter 2: Week 6: Thursday: Ruth 1:1-22:
When the Judges ruled their was a famine. Since there was a famine a family had to go and move to Moab. Naomi's husband died, and she left with her two sons. They lived there for ten years, and her sons had married Moabite woman. Then her sons also died and she was left all alone with no kids or husband. She heard about God and got her two daughter-in-laws and they made their way back to Judah. After a while Naomi told them to go back to their mothers, and that she pray the Lord may grant them with new husbands. Orpha gave her a kiss on the cheek goodbye, but Ruth clung on to her. So Naomi said yes, and they both went on.  Naomi said that God had changed her life forever, and saved her. Difficulties, like fighting, effect my relationship with my best friend Mallory, not the Malori that goes here. The longest she and I have fought was about three days. When someone fights with a best friend, like over stupid things, it can effect it.

Quarter 2: Week 6: Wednesday: Judges 16:22-31 :

            Quarter 2: Week 6: Wednesday: Judges 16:22-31 :
The hair on his head is beginning to grow again. The Philistines began to praise their god for letting their enemy, Samson, come into their hands. While they cheered they asked Samson to come out and entertain them. They got Samson out of jail and he preformed for them. He asked if they could move him to the front pillars, and they do. He asked God to give him strength for the last time so he could get revenge. When he pushed the pillars he said let me die with the Philistines. When the roof came down he did so. Thus, he killed more people than he did when he was alive. Then his family came back to get him and buried him. God has patience with us all, and gives us many chances. I have the patience of my dad, so I'm glad God has the patience to put up with me. I know God's patience, and I try not to push it.

Quarter 2: Week 6: Tuesday: Judges 16:1-21 :

              Quarter 2: Week 6: Tuesday: Judges 16:1-21 :
Samson went to Gaza, and the Gaza people were told he was staying the night there. They all agreed they would kill him in the morning. Some time later he fell in love with a woman named Delilah, who was told by the Philistines  to get Samson to share his secret of his strength. At first she disagreed, but when they pt money on the table she agreed. Delilah asked him how he could be tied up, and he replied with seven fresh bowstrings I'll become as weak as any other man. She got him tied up, but he snapped them off. He told her that if somone tied him up with new rope he would become weak. She tied him once again, and once again he got away. This happens once more and he finally cracked, and told her about how he can't save his head. When he went to sleep the Philistines came and guarged his eyes out. One time I was passing by a gas station with my mom. I asked her id we could go in, but she keept saying no. When she finally said yes something told me to wait and get  something to eat at home, and we did. Later I saw that the gas station had been robed.
