Quarter 3: Week 8: Monday: Esther 5:1-14 :

Esther went and in her royal robes and stood in the inner court, in the king's hall. The king asked what she wanted, he said he would give it to her no matter what. Even half the kingdom. She asked of him and Haman to go to the banquet. So the king summoned Haman so they may feast at once. As they drank wine Esther invited Haman to the banquet, along with the king, so they may chat. Haman was happy and bubbly till he came and saw Mordecai up at the king's gate and all. So he became a jerk, and left for home. He even went of bragging about his son's wealth and how he was invited in the King and Queen's presence. Since I'm so young I haven't hhad to do anythin scary for God yet. I' sureI will have to in the future though. I look forward to it in the future though.

Quarter 3: Week 7: Friday: Esther 4:1-17

As soon as Mordecai learned what had happend to the city he tore his clothes. He went off and mourned for all the lost. When the Queen heard of what had happend she sent clothes of for Mordecai. She sent someone off to see what was wrong with him, and why he was acting in such manner. When the peson went Mordecai told him all that was wrong with him. Mordecai was told to go off and get the Jews, and they were to not eat or drink anything for three days. So he did such as he was told. I've shown my faith by following the Lord and doing things through Christ. I don't always do things through Christ, so I have to work on that and such.

Quarter 3: Week 7: Thursday:Esther 3:1-5

The king gave Haman a higher noblity than all the other nobles. The king ordered him to bow down and kneel, but he wouldn't. He was asked why wouldn't he bow down, and he replied saying he was a Jew. He was told to bow down again, but again would not. Which enraged the king once more. Sometimes I'm tempted to compromise televition. Sometimes I won't give up the shows that I shouldn't watch. Which I really need to work on.

Quarter 3: Week 7: Wednesday: Esther 2:1-23:

The king made search through the land for a young beautiful virgin. If they found one who pleases the king she would take place of the queen. Sadly, the king agreed to such ideas. Many many young ladies were sent to the palace. Before any lady could go see the king, they had to go through twelve months of beauty treaments. They couldn't return to the king unless he was pleased or he summonded her. When it was Esther's turn, everyone was pleased with her and the king welcomed her in his seventh year of reign. She became the queen and the previous queen was voted off. When my great grandmother died it later taught me to be stronger in God and to pray and love Him more.

Quarter 3: Week 7: Tuesday: Esther 1:1-22:

                   Quarter 3: Week 7: Tuesday: Esther 1:1-22:
On Xerxes third year has king he held a banquet. For like one hundred days he would show of his wealth and what not. When he got drunk on wine he wanted the Queen to come over to show off her beauty. But she refused, which made the king uber mad. His consultents agreed the Queen had done wrong. Also that her disobedence would have no end. So he proclaimed throughout the land that all wives must listen and obey their husbands, basiclly be their little puppets. Xerxes took his wife for granted, and I tend to take my parents for granted. When I go off to college I won't have their full help and will be on my own.

Quarter 3: Week 7: Monday: Nehemiah 8:1-18 :

             Quarter 3: Week 7: Monday: Nehemiah 8:1-18 :
All the people came together to hear Ezar say the Lord's laws that He gave to Moses. He was standing were everyone could see him and he opend the book and started praising the Lord. They all followed his example and got on the ground to praise the Lord. They began reading clearly so the people could understand what they were talking about. Nehemiah told them to go greeve the Holy Sprit, because He was their strength. They went of eating and celebrating becuase they would understand the word of God. So days and days Ezra would read the word of God to the people. When I read God's word sometimes I expect a word to just pop out at me, which I shouldn't do. I should get a reading plan together for everynight.

Quarter 3: Week 6: Friday: Nehemiah 5:1-19 :

                 Quarter 3: Week 6: Friday: Nehemiah 5:1-19 :
Many were saying they need grain, but others said they were draing their land by trying to get grain during the famine. They all had to borrow money just to pay the tax's of the King on their lands and such. Their sons and daughter had to sold to slavery to pay off debt and taxes. Nehemiah said what he was doing was wrong and that he should walk in the fearof the Lord. They gave back all the people and promised they wouldn't do that any more. So he became governor of Judah and did good for the people. I really don't help out the poor as much as I should. I try giving money when I can, but that doens't happen that often as I wish it would.

Quarter 3: Week 6: Thursday: Nehemiah 2:1-20:

              Quarter 3: Week 6: Thursday: Nehemiah 2:1-20:
He brought wine to King Artaxerxes and Artaxerxes saw Nehemiah was unhappy. He knew it couldn't be becuase he was ill, but because of his sad heart. He praied to the Lord so he would know what to say to he king, and he said he wanted to go and rebuild the city of Judah. He stayed in Jerusalem for three days, then he went out in the night with some other people. He went to the gate, which and been burned and broken down. He told them to look at how the city laid in ruins and that they all needed to rebuild it. So they all got started right away at rebuilding it. Relationships in my life that need to be rebuilt are ones with my old friends. I haven't seen them in about a year, and haven't talked to them since, like, the summer. I really miss them and hope I can see them again soon.

Quarter 3: Week 6: Wednesday: Ezra 3:7-13 :

              Quarter 3: Week 6: Wednesday: Ezra 3:7-13:
Joshua meet with his brother, sons, and a few other people in the house of the Lord. As the builders put down the foundation of God, all he preist praised the Lord. As the younger people shouted with joy, the older people cried for joy. They could not tell if their screams were for joy, but it could be heard from VERY far away. I tend to put stuff off, so I get really stressed with big projects. I always say I'll start early, but slowy I start slacking and putting it off. Which won't fly in college.

Quarter 3: Week 6: Tuesday: 2 Kings 22:1- 23:

                 Quarter 3: Week 6: Tuesday: 2 Kings 22:1- 23:
Josiah was as little as eight years old when he became king, and he ruled for 31 years. He did what was right and served the was his dad, David, had. On his 18th year of ruling he sent a scribe out saying to repair the house of the Lord. The Lord sent out saying He would bring disaster to them. Also saying that it would become a curse and become a waste. You can easily see in the world that the Bible has become a lost book. People killing people and getting divorces after so many years of marriages. Its more important now more than ever for me to keep the Bible in my life. If the Bible becomes a lost book, the Devil can try and take over my life.

Quarter 3: Week 6: Monday: 2 Kings 11:1-21:

                Quarter 3: Week 6: Monday: 2 Kings 11:1-21:
When word had spread to Athaliah that Ahaziah was dead, she was going to kill off the whole royal family. Jehosheba took her youngest son away so she wouldn't be able to kill him off. He remaind hidden for among six years, which at the time Athaliah ruled. The brought him out and crowed him, procaliming him the new king. They didn't want to put Athaliah to death in the temple of God, so they put her to death at palace grounds. All rejoiced for their wicked witch was dead, Athaliah, and her little seven year old son started his reign. The best examples in my life are my 220 leader, and my mom. My 220 leader has sacrafised her best friends for the Lord, and when the time comes I hopw I can be a strong Christian like that. My mom is always helping, happy, and cheery for the Lord. When I get older I want to be strong Chrisitians just as they are.

Quarter 3: Week 5: Friday: 2 Kings 5: 1-27 :

                Quarter 3: Week 5: Friday: 2 Kings 5: 1-27 :
Naaman was commander of the army for the king of Aram. Bands from his army went out and kidnaped a girl who became Naaman's wife's servant. Naaman's servant went to him and said wash it and be cleaned. So he washed it and became clean again. Naaman asked for as much land as a mule can handle, and she said go inn peace.  His servant said his master was too easy on him, so he must go and take something from him. So he lied to him adn Naaman gave him two talents, money. When the servent went back to Elishe he knew he had been somewhere and lied about it. Small things that I have not done for God would probably be being nice to eveyone. I can't just decide which people I want to be nice to and which ones I want to be mean to. I need to try my best and have paitince will all.

Quarter 3: Week 5: Thursday: 2 Kings 2: 13-25:

               Quarter 3: Week 5: Thursday: 2 Kings 2: 13-25:
Elisha picked up the cloath that had fallen, and went and stood in the Jordan. The prophets told him that the spirit of Elijah was resting upon her. The prophets didn't know what happened, so they said they would go look from him, but Elisha told them no. He finally told them yes after they keep bugging him. They put salt in the water, and it would no longer cause death. Someone would know you have a deep respect for God through your additudes and actions. If you have a bad addittude or bad actions, they would know you are not of the Lord or respect him of that matter.

Quarter 3: Week 5: Wednesday: 2 Kings 2: 1-12:

              Quarter 3: Week 5: Wednesday: 2 Kings 2: 1-12:
When God was going to take Elijah up to heaven, he was with Elisha. He told her to wait because the Lord had called him to Bethel. She told him she would not leave him, so she went to Bethel with him. All the prophits told Elisha what the Lord was to do. Elijah then told her to stay because the Lord had called him to Jericho. She once  more told him she was to not leave his side. So they both journed on together. He asked her what she wanted him to do before he was taken up, and she said she wanted to inherit a double portion of his spirit. He told her if she saw him after he was taken up she could have what she wanted. Then he cried out and Elisha saw him no more. Commintments are serious things. Like when you go to school or a job you make a commintment that you will work your hardest. The most important commintment of all, is marrige. One should go out of his way just to keep a commintment.

Quarter 3: Week 5: Tuesday: 1 Kings 22: 29-40:

              Quarter 3: Week 5: Tuesday: 1 Kings 22: 29-40:
The king of Israel went into a battle in a disguise. The king of Aram told his men not to fight anyone, but the king of Israel. Someone else hit the king of Israel with a arrow, so he told his chariot driver to turn back around. It was too late, his blood hit the ground, and he died later that night. Just as the Lord had said, the dogs licked up his blood before he was buried. Sometime being tempted to hide from God means you know you have done something wrong. Like when Adam and Eve tried to hide fromm God after eating the fruit they were told NOT to eat. Or when the king of Israel tried to hide from death. The best thing to do is pray to God, tell him what you did, and ask for His forgiveness.

Quarter 3: Week 5: Monday:1 Kings 21: 1-29 :

             Quarter 3: Week 5: Monday:1 Kings 21: 1-29 :
Soon there was an incident in Naboth's vineyard in Jezreel. Ahab went up and asked if he could have his vineyard. He said he would give a better vineyard, or whatever ammount of Naboth wanted. Maboth merly replied by saying the Lord said he couldn't sell the land. So Ahab went home angry and refused to eat. His wife told him to get up and said she would get him the vineyard. She wrote letters with Ahab's name on it and sent them off to Naboth. In the letter it said to stone Naboth to death, so all the elderlys did. Right after that Ahab's wife told him to go and claim the vineyard. Ahab was told hhe  would have disaster, but he humbled himself and did not. Justice is an important thing to have. Without it murder's would be on the street, well technacly there already are. But, it's still important.

Quarter 3: Week 4: Wednesday: 1 Kings 17: 1-24 :

            Quarter 3: Week 4: Wednesday: 1 Kings 17: 1-24 :
In this readging the Lord told Elijah to go east of the Jordan and drink from the brooke. He told him he would also be supplied with food. The ravens brought him food daily and the brook brought him the waterly need. Later the brook dried up from lack of rain. God told him to go to Zarephath and that a widow would supply his needs there. He went and asked a lady to get him water and bread. She could give the water, but told him she had not enough breed to share, for she had to feed herself and her son. He told her about how the Lord said she wouldn't run out of that stuff till rain comes to the land. So day by day the woman had enough to supply for her, her son, and Elijah. Later her son became ill, and got so bad that he breathed no longer. She got mad and asked why he came to remind her of her sins by killing her only son. Elijah brought him back to life, and she believed once more. Obeying and trusting God go together because in order to obey God, you need to trust Him, and in order to trust Him, you must obey Him.

Quarter 3: Week 4: Tuesday: 1 Kings 12: 1-24 :

              Quarter 3: Week 4: Tuesday: 1 Kings 12: 1-24 :
Rehoboam was off to Shechem to be made king. Jeroboam heard the news when he was in Egypt, when he fled from Solomon, and was returning. Rehoboam told the people of Israel to go away for three days and then come back, so we did. When he asked the old people for advise, he didn't really use it. Then, he tried to get advise from the young men he grew up with. When the people came back, the king took the young men's advice. The king refused to listen to them, and the people caught on soon. All the Israelites went back home, except for the ones who were ruled over stayed. When they came back God told them to go back home, and they did. If he would have listened to his elders, this would not have happend. They have learned from their mistakes. When I need advise, I'll go to my best friends, or even my group leader Sarah.

Quarter 3: Week 4: Monday: 1 Kings 10: 1-13 :

              Quarter 3: Week 4: Monday: 1 Kings 10: 1-13 :
In the reading today, the queen of Sheba heard how Solomon had became king and had a relationship with God. She decided to put his faith to the test. She rode into town and for every single question she asked, Solomon had an answer. After she realized his wisdom and all, she became very overwhelmed. The queen told him the reports about his wisdom in her country were, in fact, true. She told him God eternal love for Israel had appointed him king so he maintain justiceness and righteousness throught the people. The queen gave Solomon much money and spices, and Solomon gave the queen of Sheba whatever she asked for in return. Soon she had to reunite with her country though. As a human, I try to impress people alot. Wether it's showing off stuff or just well, showing off. I don't do it too often though, just when I'm around cool people. :D haha
