Quarter 3: Week 3: Friday: 1 Kings 6: 1-38 :
After the four hundred and eightieth year Israel came out of Egyppt, they began to build the temple of God. Solomon had everything planed out from square inch to square inch. The entrance was at the south side of the lowest floor. Solomon built and completted the temple of God. He made most of the inner sanctuary gold. He also covered the inner and outer rooms with gold. The entrance room was made os oak wood. It took Solomon seven years to build the temple of God. We can learn from Solomon that we need to come prepared, and hard work does it's good. Solomon was a very wise and honest man.

Quarter 3: Week 3: Thursday: 1 Kings 3: 16-28:
Two ladies who lived together came before the King, They both had babies, and lived only by themselves. One of the ladies's baby had died, so she switched the babies out. The monther of the alive one woke up to a dead baby that was not hers. The other one protested that the living one was hers, anbd the dead one was the other ladies's baby. Since Solomon was wise he said bring me a sword so I may cut the baby in half, one half for each mother. The real mother beged him to to, while the false one said she was fine with it. When the town had heard what he did, they stood in awe for he did have wisdom from God. The current situation in my life that I see God's wisdom in is everyday life. It's amazing how God knew/knows what everysingle breathing thing needs in life. I see how he knew what each one would need to eat, and that just leaves me in awe like Solomon left his people.

Quarter 3: Week 3: Wednesday: 1 Kings 3: 1-15:
Solomon made an friends with the Pharaoh of Egypt, then married his daughter. He brought her to the city while his palace, and the temple of God were being built. Solomon went to Gibeon to make his sacrifices. After giving his thousand sacrifices, it was there the Lord asked him to wish for anything. The Lord was pleased to hear Solom say he asked for wisdom to govern his people. Along with wisdom the Lord gave him wealth and honor so he would be a great king. Solomon woke thinking it was a dream, and gave his sacrifices to the Lord. I'm not sure I could have made such an unselfish wish as Solomon did. I probably would have asked for a selfish wish for God to grant,Solomon was wise to ask for wisdom as king. If I could ask for anything it would be for my aunt to get her new car. They are trying to save their money, and have an old car and truck. I can remember them from when I was like two, and I know they had it quite some time before then.

Quater 3: Week 3: Tuesday: 1 Kings 1: 28-53:
King David called Bathsheba and mad an oath to her. The oath was that he would keep his promise to her and Solomon, her son, would become king after he was. He was as sure as day Solomon would sit in the throne he was sitting in. As Bathsheba left, she bowed with respect. King David told Zadok, Nathan, and Benaiah to take his son Solomon on his mule and blow their trumpits. As they blew the trumpits they where to say long live king Solomon. He told them he had made Solomon king of Israel and Judah. They went of and as they proclaimed him the new king, all the town rejoiced. King Solomon promised as long as Adonijah did no evil, he would be as safe as ever. God is always in control, wether we feel it or not. One way to know he is still in control, is the fact that I woke up this morning, and that I am breathing.

Quarter 3: Week 3: Monday: 1 Kings 1: 5-27:
Adonijah, son of Haggith, said he was going to be King. He got charriots, horses, and fifty men on his side. When he went to sacrifies his sheep his King's an officials along. Nathan asked Bathsheba if he heard the Adonijah became king, but David knew nothing of it. Nathan also told her, oh and her son was Solomon, that Solomon was ment to be king after David, not Adonijah. Nathand and Solomen's mom went to the King to ask if he knew anything f this, and he didn't. Making good decisions is a very important thing. Any wrong choice could bring you down a road that will take years to get off. Like taking a cigerett, forinstance. You tell yourself it's just this one time, and it won't hurt. Next thing you know, your house is gone, you lost your job, low on money, and sitting in the hospital with lung cancer.

Quarter 3: Week 2: Friday: 2 Samuel 18: 1-18:
David made commanders and sent out troops. The king said he would march out with them, but they said he shall not, for he was worth a thousand of them. The king watched as they march and told them to go easy on Absalom. David's army marched on to fight the city of Israel. Absalom happend to be riding his donkey as David's men where coming. His hair got stuck in a tree, they donkey rode on, and he was dangling in midair. Some men saw him and told Joab. Joab asked them why he did not strike him then, and they replied that the king warned them to protect him. Absalon named a pillar after himself beacuse he didnt have a son, and to this day it goes by the name Absalom’s Monument. In a situation i am mostly likly to lose comtrol is when i had to do a skit in spanish. A girl and I got stuck with someone who didn't do much to help the group, whose name I wish not to speak. Instead of getting mad at him I should have prayed for God's guidance.

Quarter 3: Week 2: Thursday: 2 Samuel 15: 1-37:
Over time Absalom began to prove himself to all. He came over offering peace to the king and the people of Israel. Four ears Later he asked the king if he go to Hebron. He wants to go there because he made a vow to the Lord that he would praise Him in Hebron if he got him in Jerusalem. The king said he could, and so went his journey. Absalom ended up sending messangers to warn Israel, adn David said they must leave for they must get from Absalom. His officials told him they where ready to do as he did. When he left he was smart enough to leave ten behind to protect the palace. Sometimes during the journey the ing told Zadok to take the ark of God back into the city and if the Lord finds favor in him, then he would send hm back. Zadok took the art of God back, and stayed there with it. David's confidant, Hushai, arrived at the same time Absalom did. There are many people who keep my motives clear. God, my parents, my 220 leader, teachers, and most of all my friends. The way i see it, my friends are true friends when they can help me with sticky situations.

Quarter 3: Week 2: Wednesday: 2 Samuel 14: 1-33 :
A woman fromTekoa went to the king she asked for his help and told him she was a widow. Her killed her other son, and now people are after him. The king told her if anyone was to bother her, that she could come to him. He assured her that her son would be safe. Absalom was safe now, and he had three sons and one daughter. All this time the king did not want to see Absalom. The woman from Tekoa went straight to the king with her family problems. My mom taught me to go to the REAL King, God, with my problems. Those problems also include family problems too. Sometimes I will pray, or try and talk it out.

Quarter 3: Week 2: Tuesday: 2 Sam. 12: 13-25:
David went to Nathan telling him he sinned and all. Nathan told him he wasn't going to die, because he was forgiven by the Lord, but that his son must die. After he left the child David had with Uriah's wife had become sick. For days David refused to eat or get up. On the seventh day of his sickness, his child died, but his servants didn't want to tell him because they feared he might do something desprate. They finally told him, and he finally got up from the ground and went to eat, and he also began to worship God. David relized his tears and fasting wouldn't bringing his son back. Later he and his wife had another son named Solomon. When David asked for God's forgiveness he felt closer and had comfort. That's how I feel when the Lord forgivess me. I feel as though a weight of sin and burden has been lifed. Sure, I'm going to have bumps along the road, but doesn't everyone? Having God forgivessness just means I won't have to go through it all alone.

Nathan went to David and told him about a rich and a poor man. The rich man had many cattle, but the poor man only had one sheep he loved with all his heart. Someone came to the rich man, and instead of feeding him with one of his sheep, he went, killed, and fed him with the poor man's sheep. David said the man who did this must him him over with four sheep for having not a single guilt. David said he must be killed, but the Lord said for his hate David's wife would be sleep with by someone close, for all to know. If someone was really my friend they would correct me and help me out. I like to think that all my friends love me enough to correct me, but I can't say they all do. God corrected David for wanting to kill the rich man.

Quarter 3: Week 1: Friday: 2 Samuel 11: 1-27:
David was on the roof of his palace, and saw a woman. He sent someone out to see who she was, and he came back saying she was Bathsheba, wife of Uriah. David sent message to her and the had a child together. Jacob sent Uriah to eat and clean his feet at his house, but he couldn't. He did the same the next day, but again he could not go home. Then he sent Joab a note telling him to kill Uriah, and he did indeed die. After Bathseba moured for her husband she went to David. They then got married. It is always hard to admit fault. Since we are human we aren't perfect, but we want to be. So, that makes us not want to admit when we are at fault. Saying you are wronf or that it was your fault isn't the most fun thing the world

Quarter 3: Week 1: Thursday: 2 Samuel 9: 1-13 :
Mephibosheth came to the king Ziba and bowed to pay his honor. He told him to be afraid because he wouold repay him with kindness for his father's, Jonathan's, kindness, and would return him to his grandfather's, Saul's land. He also told him he would always eat his table. The King told his servants they were to grow food for him because he was the grandson of his master. So Mephibosheth started to eat ate David's table as though he were one of his sons. Promises that need to be keep in my life have to do with promising to stick to God's word. Like I said before, we shouldn't just read God's word, but live by it.

Quarter 3: Week 1: Wednesday: 2 Samuel 5: 1-12:
In this verse David has been made the King of Israel. He was only forty when he became, and he ruled for forty years. David and his men were told they could not over take Zion, but the did and it is now known as the city of David. David started to get more and more powerful, because God was with him. To please God moe like David did, would take faith, reading the Bible daily, and sticking to God's word. Not just going to church, not just reading the Bible, but living it out. Do what you learned in kindergarden and treat others how you would want them to treat you.

Quarter 3: Week 2: Tuesday: 1 Samuel 28: 1-25 :
Saul basicaly baned mediums and spiritists, which means he was calling on the dead. He went to a lady who did mediums, but he was disguised, and asked her to bring a spirit back. At first she didn't want to, but he told her she wouldn't be punished, and he asked her to bring Samuel back. She ended up seeing it was Saul, but by that time Samuel had come to them. Samuel asked why he was called apon by him at this time. Saul told him they were being attacked and Samuel told him he should have gone to the Lord and not him. He told him the Lord would give him into the hands of their enemy. Some things that are occult practices are like what Saul did. It's bringing back the dead, praising the dead, and having witch craft involvemnet. The Lord isn't happy when we do these things, because when people die they die and we should leave that alone. Doing these sort of things will lead people straight to hell unless they admit to their sins.

Quarter 3: Week 1: Monday: 1 Samuel 25: 1-42 :
Quarter 3: Week 1: Thursday: 1 Samuel 25: 1-42 :
In this reading it starts of talking about the death of Samuel. All if Israel mourned him after he was burried in Ramah. Shortly after his death David moved Paran. Where he moved there was a rich man named Nabal who was weathy and had many many goats and sheep. His wife was beautiful, but he was selfish and all. David heard he was shearing his sheep, so he sent men to greet him kindly. When they arrived they gave him the message from David, but he would not give him any food or water or sheep. The men came back and told David, so they all strapped on swords. One of Nabal's servents told his wife a man had been good to them, but Nabal only hurled insults at them. So she went to go feed them with the servent. When she got there she introuduced herself and gave him the food. Nabal was drunk alot, but one day when he wasn't he died. David then thought he would ask her to be his wife. God keeps me from making big mistakes just by helping me make right choices. If I won't let God in my life He won't help me with the things in my life.
